Fix Sidewalks With Vertical Concrete Cutting
Fixing a concrete sidewalk with drainage issues
Water drainage on concrete is important for two reasons: 1) Sitting water on concrete damages it, especially in hot or cold weather, 2) Sitting water on concrete is also a slip hazard. When concrete is first poured it must be carefully sloped to allow drainage. However tree roots, erosion, settling or moving earth can change this slope and cause water to puddle instead of draining. This puddling can happen on sidewalks, gutters or flat concrete slabs. |
How vertical concrete cutting works
Vertical concrete cutting uses a specialized saw to cut flowline channels in existing concrete to allow water to run off. PRECISION Trip Hazard Removal uses patented saws and attached dust containment units to make the process as clean and non-disruptive as possible. Vertical concrete cutting may be used to cut down as far as 6 inches in depth and as long as is necessary. It may be used to fix sidewalk issues by allowing the creation of trenches or even the removal of parts of the concrete. Call 760-658-6116 to get an inspection of your sidewalks! |
